4) Taste

Little is known about the taste buds of the walking dead, although they are capable of telling human flesh apart from that of others. They prefer human meat. They also prefer to eat fresh meat instead of carrion. These behaviors doesn’t necessarily involve taste. It can because of smell, an instinct, or another part of zombie physique that we are not familiar with. 

5) Touch

The biggest metamorphosis that occurs from human to zombie are the physical sensations. All nerve receptors throughout the body remain dead after reanimation. This is their greatest advantage over humans. Us weak little humans has the ability to feel pain as a signal to body damage. Zombies don’t feel pain, therefore they will attack until nothing of them remains.

1) Sight

The eyes of a zombie, despite of a few physical deterioration, is technically the same as a human’s in both function and quality.

 2) Smell

Zombies have a very good sense of smell. They can detect living prey above all other beings. They can smell flesh from over a mile away. It is the same as a human’s but became more reliable because of it’s importance.

3) Sound

Zombies have excellent hearing. They can detect and determine the direction of any sound. They are attracted to every sound that they hear, even the littlest of sounds we humans take for granted.

3) Mad Cow Zombie

These are zombies that came from Mad Cow Disease. The disease would spread throughout the human population, then becoming “Mad Human Disease,” then becomeing zombies. Unlike the people who get infected by the Solanum virues, the people who get infected by the Mad Cow disease won’t “die.” They will simply reanimate while they are alive. They are also much more agile than their Solanum counterparts, seeing they are able to run with proper control. 

4) Ghost Zombies (Revenants)

These zombies are from souls of the dead returning back to Earth to haunt the living. They rise from the dead to avenge some crime that had been committed to them. They are known to wander around graveyards. They are also known to be able to move exactly like a human being, even though they take the form of a corpse.

1. The Solanum Zombie

It is a human that had been infected by the Solanum virus. He or She who have been infected will first lose every part of their past selves, including memories, personality, and everything else except for their physical selves. Then, they will be reanimated into a walking corpse we all know and fear.

2. Voodoo Zombies

Voodoo zombies are dead people who have been revived by a Voodoo sorcerer or a “bokor.” They will remain under the control of the bokor since they have no will of their own. They still hold on to their past lives. They still feel emotions and might even create little logical thinking. Even though they are not as lethal as regular zombies, they are still dangerous. A startled or scared voodoo zombie might attack relentlessly despite emotional connections.
